CALL TO PRAYER – Please join us as we come together to pray for our communities and nation. As you know, violence is on the rise in our homes, neighborhoods, cities & towns throughout our nation. Please join us for PRAYER for our nation and communities today.

Praying Hands - 01

Right Now, Right Where You Are, PRAY

> STOP the hate. STOP the violence NOW.

> PRAY for our Nation, PRAY for our Communities.

Violence is the problem, not the solution. We (humans) are not the enemy.

“Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.–1 Peter 5:8”

“The thief (devil) comes only to steal and kill and destroy;
I (Jesus Christ) have come that they may
have life, and have it to the full.–John 10:10”

PRAYER to stop the violent acts in our country from happening again. PRAYING for all the victims families who have lost someone in these senseless, hateful, evil acts of violence. May God bring peace to our nation.

Praying for all the victims and the victim’s families of all those affected by these senseless violent crimes. May God give them comfort and peace during these difficult and trying days.

“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted
and saves those who are crushed in spirit.”
–Psalm 34:18

Prayers for all first responders that reached the chaotic crime scene within minutes when called to action. May the Lord comfort them and heal them emotionally, as well as, physically. Let all stress and anxiety be gone from them completely and God’s peace fully prevail. Lord, bless these men and women as they continue to serve our nation and communities across American with their bravery and service, for they are greatly respected and honored daily.

“Greater love has no one than this,
that someone lay down his life for his friends.”
— John 15:13

Thank you for taking the time to join us here for daily prayer.

“For where two or three gather in my name,
there am I with them.” –Matthew 18:20

Ongoing thoughts and prayers for everyone who has been affected by our nation’s rash of violent crimes. May God continue to give everyone comfort and peace during these difficult and trying times.

This next prayer is a difficult one, but it is a much-needed prayer.

Prayer - 03

Prayers for the attacker(s) and the assailant’s family. May the Lord give them guidance and strength to come to terms with this act of violence. Forgiveness is given to all who had been involved in this wrongful act, including the murder(s) themselves. This person is fully responsible for their evil act and justice will win in the end. They are fully accountable for themselves and will deal with the consequences of their actions. Their immoral act will never be excused or ever forgotten. May God forgive them (Luke 23:34).

“Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.” –Ephesians 4:31-32

Forgiveness doesn’t excuse their wrongful behavior and their evil act. Justice will prevail in the end. Forgiving those who have wronged us prevents their behavior from destroying our hearts.

The sad truth is that violence is escalating in our country so much that it is becoming a consistent headline in the media.  May we not grow passive to these wicked things. Instead, may we stand up for our freedoms, may we stand united as Christians, as well as, citizens of the United States of America. We must all come together as ONE.

“If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves
and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways,
then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin
and will heal their land.” –2 Chronicles 7:14

*** PRAYER ***

Dear Lord,

Today we come together in prayer to seek wisdom and guidance from you. May we all be able to work actively together, as one, in our local communities. God, please free our hearts from anger and bitterness toward one another. Also, may we rid ourselves of any passive behavior, aggression, and apathy. Open our eyes and hearts Lord so that we might display empathy for our neighbors daily. Teach us how to live in peace by exercising generosity and love for one another. If there is any strife of any kind amongst us, we ask that you, God, give us wisdom and self-control to talk out our differences and to confront any issue(s) in a kind and loving manner.

We humble ourselves and seek your wisdom daily. Lord, please protect us from the enemy. Let us be watchful and aware. Have angels watch over us and our families daily. May no harm come to us, as we look to you for refuge. May peace and protection prevail over our towns, schools, businesses, and homes.

Come Together as a Community!

Talk about the issues. Confront the problem.

> STOP doing harm to others. STOP alienating one another.

“Do to others whatever you would like them to do to you.
This is the essence of all that is taught in the law and the prophets.”
–Matthew 7:12

*** PRAYER ***

Dear Lord,

As you gather us together in this life’s journey, we trust in you. Let our Christian faith mature as we exercise Christ’s love for our neighbors. Help us to be strong for each other, as we live amongst each other. Let us live out the “Golden Rule” which you had taught us in the Book of Matthew. Let us exhibit respect and kindness to our fellow neighbors always. May we never lose hope in each other. Lord, give us patience and strength as we walk the Christian faith daily.

Pray for our children.

May our children, and children’s children learn from the past and never repeat a crime or an act of violence which will harm another.

“Start children off on the way they should go,
and even when they are old they will not turn from it.”
–Proverbs 22:6

Impress them on your children.
Talk about them when you sit at home
and when you walk along the road,
when you lie down and
when you get up.
–Deuteronomy 6:7

Prayer for our Nation.

“If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” 2 Chronicles 7:14

“Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people He choose for His inheritance.” Psalms. 33:12

In 1952, President Harry Truman, signed a bill into law, making the National Day of Prayer for America an annual event on the first Thursday of May, encouraging millions across our nation to unite together to pray.

Need I say this? Please don’t wait for this Thursday in May to come each year. Our country, our citizens, our communities, you and I, you and your family need to hold steadfast in the power of prayer daily. PRAY DAILY.

May peace be with you and your family.
May this cloud of self-distruction be removed from our nation.
